‘Dreamcatcher’ Voted St Albans ‘Beer of the Festival’ for Second Year Running
Dreamcatcher was chosen from fifteen other award winning ales and was judged by thirty-four real-ale publicans in the South Herts area as well as Greg Mulholland MP, All-Party Parliamentary Save the Pub Group chairman.
Steve Bury, organiser of the beer tasting judging panel said: “Dreamcatcher scores from the judging panel made this superb beer the outstanding winner– congratulations to Oakham Ales”
With a 6.9% A.B.V. this deep paprika red beer is bursting with blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry flavours and the aroma is underlined with subtle caramelised malt. A delicate hint of marzipan rolls back up to the tip of the tongue before you are left with a smooth, warming, yet dry finish.
Adrian Posnett, Managing Director of Oakham Ales comments: “This is fantastic news for the Oakham team. To win beer of the festival for two years running against such stiff competition is praise indeed – the balcony bar which we sponsor at the festival keep ordering more of Dreamcatcher – which I hope illustrates that visitors to the festival, seem to agree with the judge’s decision!”
